I wondered if there is a list of rescues the would re-home a lurcher to someone who wants to work her.

Fluffy bunny syndrome seems to rule the rescue centres that i have aproached.

despite never admiting to any of them that is something I wish to do.

Help please.

thanks

I got a pup from a rescue centre, I just kept stumn about working the dog, whilst applying to home it.

On another note, there is a lot of fun to be had by ringing these places up and asking if they have any lurchers. When they answer yes, ask if they are good on big game :clapper::clapper: :11:

why do rescue centres insist alot of the time that dogs adopted must be kept inside all the time. i was of the view that it is unhealthy for a dog to live in the house. i let mine in for an hour when their pups and when i buy a new dog to develop a bond and increase confidence but they always sleep outside in a good dry sheltered bed.

and when you have finished winding them up, maybe you could drop em a bag of dog food in.... <_<

One day i will understand how this site works and reply i goood time.

its nice to give a home to a rescue but why not get a pup?

I feel that it is better to give a home to a dog that has been placed for re-homing for what ever reason as so many are placed in a pts situation which is not fair on them.

IF however it is proved unsuccessful for me to re-home then I will be going for a new bundle of fluff and fun.

New chances for older dogs is much better than the ultimate sacrifice. :clapper:
